Looking forward to a future project.

Does anyone know where I could find detail / conversion parts to add the later style "sport kit" to either a 1:24 or 1:12 mini.

I have tried searching the net with no success. I am sure someone will no a place.

Thanks in advance

Have you tried Model Factory Hiro? Don't know if they do mini's but they do a lot of stuff.

One of the first places I tried.

I think I've found the wheels. It's just the body kit I need.
I may have to try a scratch build...

3D print the stuff? It's easy and cheap enough if you've can use CAD.

I've never used 3D cad (was 2d when I was on the boards) isn't the software pretty expensive?

That said I do work with a lot of designers. If I could find a friendly one I might be able to get something sorted...

I'm sure there'd be some free stuff out there. All you need is a .stl export and you're away.

Where would you go to get it printed? What is the resolution like?

I used a company in Scotland that used the DWS system:

http://www.dwssystems.com/

Unfortunately, I can't find their name now! I'm sure you could find someone though.

Resolution is great - I re-modelled the engine cowl for this 1:72 aircraft. It's only about 15mm in diameter:

Flawless work as always.

I will have a look into software when I'm back from my holiday. (Hence no update on the mini)
If you you remember the company you used on the engine cowl please let me know. It looks spot on.
How much was it (if it's not a rude question)
