Aircraft gift suggestion

Hi all,
I have someone leaving work in a few weeks and would like to get him a model aircraft kit (not RC, more Airfix etc) as a leaving gift, but I have little idea of what's good kit these days.
He particularly likes Lancasters but has a few already.
Would be willing to spend around £100 (+ a bit if needed) if there's something good or a little different at that sort of money.

Any die-cast worth looking at?

If you are willing to spend that type of money on a kit, the Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire IX is reputed to be an excellent kit.

The Mossie is a dangerous one, always loved the machine but will struggle to buy only one...

One single Mosquito due for delivery tomorrow, thank you Elderly.
Very tempted by the Spitfire, if I ever have the time to get back into models I'll treat my self to that one.
