My 6 year old grandson seems to more and more be getting into Lego. He wants this train set for Christmas, its model number 60051 and looks ideal. My daughter has sent me a link to it at direct Asda for £64.97 seems the best price unless anyone here knows better?
Also ideas on best places to buy additional track, as i'm sure we will need it biggrin
TIA

Try Tesco direct while they have the 3 for 2 on toys this weekend.
Plenty of items around 1/3 off before the 3 for 2.

I've bought extra track for my son's Lego train from Amazon and eBay. Amazon's offers can be good if you catch them at the right time.

Russy on here could be worth talking to.

Track for the Lego system is a bit of a pain. You can buy it no problem but it's pretty much only sold in a pack with other bits you don't want. The flexi track and straights pack is about all my local toys r us, smyths or argos stock, and it's awful stuff.

ME Models make and sell their own compatible track. Much better selection with different radius of curves too.

Smyths have got 20% off City Lego at the mo, does the train stuff fall under that?
