1/72 Scout Starship

A few pictures of my just-finished scratchbuilt 1/72 Scout starship, based on a design from the Traveller roleplaying game.

Mostly plasticard construction, with a few homemade resin parts. Has an opening cargo-bay door and rotating weapons turret

Nice model, have you built any more? I had not heard of the Traveller role playing game before, sounds a bit like a Dungeons & Dragons type game in a sci-fi scenario.

I have always wanted to design and build a starship from scratch. The closest I have come is some origami ships from the "Elite" 80s computer game. One day I'll do it.

My son now wants me to make him a Python ship from Elite Dangerous

You could order a mini version from a 3d printing website and use it as a guide to make something bigger,

This a link to an origami template of the old Python from the 80s game, if it's any use. You could knock this up in 20 minutes!

Funny the above poster showing models based on the Elite computer game as the OP's model reminded me of the Viper police ship featured in that game!
