I picked these up on the weekend. From a college or university I would guess. Both have Irwin, Croydon, England stickers

That four-stroke is interesting, i cant remember seeing a non-ohv engine before. (yes yes, ill get of your lawn)

Side-valve engine, as used by lots of old Ford engines and Harley Davidson motorbikes amongst others.

Lovely models though, I love things like that. Do they work? I noticed the electrical connections on the back.

Hi
I have got a similar Irwin model 2 stroke, but it is missing the carburettor. I also have a model rotary (begins with W, but got censored out), engine of theirs, but can find out nothing about the company. I display these engines and a few others at rallies. A lot of people remember them from their school days. If you ever decide to sell the side valve one I'd be interested, it's one I don't have.

WOW!!

That's fab!!

I have one of those see through plastic engines that runs via batteries and has little lightbulbs to flash as though the plug is sparking!!





Not near the quality of the real thing but it was very cheap!!
