So, I might be 29 this year and haven't lived at home for the past 10 years but I still have a load of crap filling up cupboards at my parents house. This weekend I was up and have been sent away with a large box of model cars I used to collect when I was just getting into my teens.

I am not sure they're worth anything mind. They are mostly Maisto made models bought from toys r us!! Few nice cars though. F1, Dodge Viper, Dodge Copperhead concept, ford thunder bird concept, XJ220, EB110 to name some. Not interested in keeping them. Should I charity shop em? Or are they worth a job lot punt on eBay?

If you can be bothered with the hassle of photographing them all and listing them could be worth a few quid on ebay or put a list up here?

You gotta be kidding me ?! No way are these things worth that!

None of mine are brand new in box mind. They have been played with, but I have the boxes and the stands for some (including the jag) and none of them are damaged. Will peruse the bay and see what the others might be worth.

Sorry, but the average sold price for a 1/18 jaguar XJ 220 boxed is about £10.
The majority of maisto and burago models are not valuable at all

Yeah was checking today. Prices seem to vary between a fiver and maybe 15 quid. That's for boxed ones.

Don’t get excited any of these type of models are virtually worthless no matter how “rare” they are, lucky to get £10-£15 for a Maisto, Bburago or similar, I’ve got loads myself

Now Minichamps, Otto, Gt Spirit and CMC, these will probably be worth quite a bit, quality counts

Yeah, £250 for a Maisto XJ220 was dreaming, that was an eBay advert which never sold!

Best way to check is click sold items in any eBay search and you get an idea of value!
Maisto, Burago etc just flood the market with more than there is a demand so they will always have a low value!
