You might have seen the awesome Lego Caterham Sevens made by Carl Greatrix earlier in the year. Carl has just added these to the Lego Ideas Website. So if you want one, or just think Lego should make these into a real production set, just click the link and vote for them: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/87703

Lego have made several large car models (see http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Advanced-Models/sub... ) including a VW Beetle, VW Campervan and a classic Mini, if you think Carl's Lotus7/Caterham should join this group you just need to vote from the link above.

Very nice indeed! Maybe even a bit too nice for Lego?

Last big push!

Just thought about checking in on the Lego Caterham project and wow, less than 700 votes needed to reach the 10,000 which is when it goes for review internally at lego to see if they can produce it.

From memory Caterham have already given thier approval to the idea so it has a real chance of getting onto the shelves.

So VOTE and get this pushed to the 10k mark.

I signed up a few days ago... need to get my wife on it too, she thought the lego models looked great and has a thing for Caterhams after she spent the day grinning her face off last year when we hired one for the day.

Caterham have been plugging it on their social media for a while so they're defo on board.

Is Carl (the designer) a PHer?

Top man.

That'd be a group buy if you could get 'em!

I think that image is a bit disappointing! but because I don't think it shows the car very well...

The Lego Set version would never be as detailed as Carl's original fine scale models, So I am really impressed at how close they have got.. I'm impressed they have kept the engine and removable bonnet and it seems to have great seats and a nice dash (which using lego angles is amazing!) personally I'll be putting the wheels on the other way around! so they look spokey. The only gripe I have is the colour, I liked the the blue & orange (true to 620R) and white & red colour schemes much better..

I'm really keen to see more images from the official launch rather than these odd low quality leaked images.

Maybe if we ask nicely we could get Lepin to sell one that's closer to the original? wink

Don't think the final one looks too bad, will definitely be picking one up

I think Poor Photography is the blame, it still has the side exhaust and engine.

The point of Lego models completely escapes me.
