This looked like the best place to try and start a thread on this.

Basically does anyone else collect it?

I bought the Assault on Black Reach time ago and only completed maybe 2 models lol. Am determined to start again. This is what I got so far;

Someone inspire me lol

i started painting some marines years ago. I've tried looking for the pics but they seem to have disappeared.

Here's a space wolf i found on t'internet. It's when you see pics like these that you just want to stop painting and find another hobby frown

Warseer is a pretty good site for painting tips (or drop me a line smile ) also places like Wayland Games are excellent online retailers and are cheaper than GW.

Those are all superb!!

I love the painting but not so much the gaming (no time). This is the last boy I painted...

Forgeworld MasterPiece Space Marine.

I'm going to be near Forgeworld next week and I am seriously tempted to get either another of these or a Warhound Titan... eek.

I've painted a couple, but haven't picked up a brush for years. All my paints had dried out when I last checked on them.

Is that the great Logan grimmar? I've just finished reading the space wolf omnibuses. Surprisingly they're not bad. 40k novels aren't my usual reading material but these books are a bit like the novel equivalent I'd the die hard films and the great action films of the eighties and early nineties. Leave your brain behind and enjoy the explosions!

Eta - awesome painting. I'm glad I can't find my pics, they'd be shamed frown

I just started painting some old models I had after an 18 year break . . . I am much more accurate with the brush than I used to be, but I still suck at highlighting. This is the first guy I did:

It's quite relaxing though, stick some 4Extra scifi radio on iPlayer and geek out for an hour, just me and the little green men smile

Collected some a long time ago, when I was to young and impatient for painting!

But started 3-4 months ago, and haven't stopped since.

I used to have a few kits when I was younger, I enjoyed painting and creating them, but never played the game.

As it's been mentioned, I saw what some people were painting and mine just paled in comparison, it made me want to give up! Oh well, some thought mine were good anyway.

I have played for ,many years, but took a long break, and mostly paint now, entering my first Golden Demon painting comp this year.

Found the bug again and the new box set comes out next week so looking forward to painting it up, but i have way too much plastic crack in the loft!

Remember though, painting only gets better with practice, some of my old figures were sprayed with car colours and whatever i had in my modelling box lol, but now i use good brushes and learned a lot over the years.

remember though, clean and tidy job is just as good if you are happy with it.
Some of my stuff:

There are some incrediblely painted figures here. Ive always wanted to be able to paint figures to an acceptable standard. Been looking at the Games Workshop site this afternoon and may purchase a Lord of the Rings starter set smile
