The lad (he's 36 ffs!) has just finished the crane I bought him for Christmas, I think it looks fantastic. Now of course, I've got to get him another...

He built it upside down redface
Australian edition wink
I'm coming round to the big crane more and more, personally speaking it didn't give me the "omg must buy" tingles when it was released but I did like it.

And now it's £399 on Amazon and Smyths.... wink

Ordered Concorde last night too! biggrin Got a bit of a backlog of sets to build now but I need to get more storage/display units first.
Now cheaper still, in fact it appears to be cheapest ever - £381.86 on Amazon.
Down to £395 just now in Smyth's, lowest I saw elsewhere was £460 otherwise.

Quite tempted to buy now, although I've got nowhere to display it at the moment and there's a queue of models to be done. Currently building Ecto-1 biggrin

And at some point I'm going to have a crack at all my childhood sets, raided my parents' loft and came back with 2 small suitcases, a large pc box and 3 other boxes full of bits.

Ho boy.
Smyth's have just boosted the price by £35, now at £430....

Just bought a massive box of bits and this lot at my local auction for £30 + fees. Going to take a while to work through but all the bits are nicely bagged up

Ha, I had intended to get that lot but it opened a little rich for me. I had that space set as a kid so would have quite liked to have got it.

Had no intention of buying all this lot but since no one bid I couldn’t resist.

I had a bid on the others but went too high - though when you realise it was 16 sets it was about £10 per set so possibly not too bad.

The chap who runs the Auctions is my next-door neighbour, so I tend to bid online and he delivers it to me in the evening biggrin (though it does lose subtlety when he walks up the drive with a case of wine under his arm and my wife asks me if I have been buying more wine!)

Do you have a link or any details, currently piecing together my childhood Lego sets with the intention of moving them on, mostly Lego castle and Space, be interested to know 'real world' selling prices rather than the optimistic chancer prices on eBay. paperbag

He’s a bit of a miserable sod in my experience. You can’t be far from the cinema then, I’m within a mile of you.

We might be thinking of different people smile I live in West Bristol - Chap who owns the company is different from the one who runs it (my next door neighbour)...

We are. Thought you meant Marc, presume you meant Mark or Craig then! I’ll shut up now.

I had 8020. I often turned the van into Vanessa's Lunchbox by adding bigger wheels. Fun times.
