And just because occasionally building things to be perfectly accurate gets frustrating here is a flight of fancy.
Lancaster B.III from 12 Squadron.
My initials are PHD so I fancied having them on one of my kits.
PH was 12 Squadron’s code & they also situated their code letters in an unusual configuration aft of the roundel.
The ED serial number is in the correct range for a Lancaster of this era and configuration so it’s plausible, just not accurate.
The 12 Squadron crest & bomb tally are from the spares box / my imagination.
