Hot Wheels 1:64
Discussion
I seem to be lucky and have found a few regular treasure hunts recently, not seen a super treasure hunt in ages, but I enjoy the hunt.
I have found a couple of chases in the car culture series, but definitely the popularity around hotwheels collecting has has increased and I have spoken with someone in a store who said they work there and they open the cases and stick the rare ones on eBay, before they reach the shop floor.
Fair enough.
I have started in the last couple of years to get a few more detailed 1/64 scale models from minigt and tarmac works.
The kaido house ones are really cool, the cases are sealed so you have a blind chance of a chase, I have been lucky A few times and got these.
Enjoying the hobby, it’s fun.

Made sure to also post this in the "Frivolous purchases....." thread as this was a little step up from my normal Hot Wheels bin rummage!
Daniel Arsham X Hot Wheels Rodger Dodger. I've been a fan of Daniel Arsham for years and always wanted one of his pieces, he's done a lot of Pokemon collectibles which aren't really my thing but when this came up I had to have it. It's an epic little piece, the box is magnetic and opens as a clamshell, as you open it pushes the case upwards to reveal it. You can take the car out if you unscrew it but I think I'll be leaving it where it is for now!
Not cheap, but very satisfying to look at.

My Rodger Dodger survived the mail, but it looks like Evri have managed to destroy the Porsche and display case that was following. So it's now in the Evri system being returned and I'm waiting on Mattel for an update on a replacement (not hopefull as it was sold out).
