Honestly, you lot. If it's not convincing me to spend all my hard earned cash on new cars, it's toys and models!
I hadn't even considered getting back into Lego Technic a few weeks ago, but now all I want to do is waste a few evenings putting together a Unimog, tracked excavator of flatbed truck.
Where have all these Lego threads come from suddenly? A side effect of Christmas I guess. Trouble is, nowhere has stock now, especially at reasonable, or sale prices.

This thread was started well before christmas - its not our fault we dont want to grow up!
There are worse ways to spend your money and if you get fed up the resale value of lego is pretty decent so you wont loose too much.
Built the mini-mog last night, only took 20mins or so but looks cool and is sturdy enough for my little lass to throw it about.

Glad I can't see the pics in the link from work, it would make me want to order one .....
Sons Technic Sports Car got completed by about 8:30am on new years day.
The "gearbox"
Better looking front end than most cars on the road these days
View from the rear (decent mobile cams can get in places other cameras cannot!)
It is mildly epic. My lads just turned 10, has aspirations of being a gadget designer or engineer of some sort, and this is the perfect start. Apart from a couple of mistakes on the central chassis (it wouldn't mate up to the differential), he got it all perfect - powered it up, the doors/bonnet/spoiler all move exactly as they should.
just converted mine to RC if you wanna have a go at doing the same thing: http://theplasticbrick.blogspot.com/Sons Technic Sports Car got completed by about 8:30am on new years day.

So far this week i have built the Technic Supercar, the Tractor/Trailer combo & the Rescue Helicopter!!.
Great kits although i think that the body panels on the Supercar would look better in yellow as the red clashes with the rest of the kit.
Currently trying to get hold of the Unimog & the VW Camper however however trouble finding a stockist local me.
Great kits & i love building them.

This place has the Unimog in stock at a decent price, no sign of the VW Camper on the site but might be worth giving them a ring to see if they can get it:http://www.youngworld.co.uk/acatalog/TECHNIC.html

.......One slight issue is that im 25, not 15, my partner is going to think i've lost the plot!
Fear not. There are many Lego Technic fans here a good deal older (including myself). I'll be using the excuse when I purchase mine that it is for my son, even though he's only 6 weeks old!! Gassing Station | Scale Models | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
