Does the Flysky Noble work with the other Flysky receivers?
I have 22 cars on one of my hacked GT3Cs, would cost a fortune if I needed to change all my receivers.
Sorry bud I have no idea, this is my first FlySky radio.I have 22 cars on one of my hacked GT3Cs, would cost a fortune if I needed to change all my receivers.
I would assume it won’t be compatible with older FlySky receivers, unless they are running the newer communications protocol.
This is AFHDS3 I believe.
Here’s The Info on the FlySky website.

I also have a lot of models, but as most of the receivers seem to start around £10 each, up to £20 each, I thought it would not be too bad.

Looking at this compatibility matrix, I suspect you will have revived that are FHDS2A protocol receivers, and sadly looks like they don’t work with the FlySky noble transmitter.I have 22 cars on one of my hacked GT3Cs, would cost a fortune if I needed to change all my receivers.

Yes, they are great fun Ray. I find the stock steering setup is very very poor, but enough to get you sliding on the sand. After the plastic wing mirrors kept on snapping off I bought metal ones, and then bought metal wheels too, but the rest is all as Tamiya intended. The beach pictured is near Calais. I don’t know how you find yours, but it helps to have a vast patch of sand to drive these things on as it’s like steering a boat. It's a ball differential unit, replaces the standard fixed diff setup. Transforms the car. Available here for 44 quid.

A worrying amount which has basically brought it up to club race level, including stiff chassis, ball differential, universal joint driveshafts, aluminium propshaft, adjustable suspension, aluminium steering linkage, aluminium motor mount and heat sink, and the glorious TRF dampers. There's probably more but my wallet has told me to stop thinking about it.

Very nice indeed! Mine is stock currently, but might make a few aesthetic mods and new bearingsThere's a nice guide here:

Here is my new toy...
It is the brand new HG-P417 "Middle East 4x4 Pickup" and for those thinking it all looks rather similar to the legendary Tamiya Toyota Hilux High Lift but with a different colour scheme, you'd be almost right!

Been working on this today, just needs some more sponsors to finish it off when I get time
Shame the camera doesn’t pick up the fluorescent orange very well.
Oh my, I want one. Just watched the Matteo video. Presumably it needs a specialist controller to handle the diff locks and gearbox? Shame the camera doesn’t pick up the fluorescent orange very well.
It comes with a pistol style TX that allows you to lock the diffs off a single switch with options none, rear, front and rear. You can change from low to high gear too, and it has cruise control.
I swapped for a 2 stick which allows the diffs to operate independently, gear is on the throttle stick similar to a Tamiya 3 speed. It lost the cruise, but I’d never use that anyway.
As for the shell, it turned out better than I hoped!

Does it run on NiMh (i.e. share batteries with Tamiya models)? Looks like different connectors, and packages seem to contain LiPo. Already have a big charger and several NiMh batteries (not that it's a huge consideration).
Some fella is looking for £900 for his tamiya monster beetle. Naturally battery, charger, receiver and transmitter are not includes at such a low price.

You could get a Traxxas to Tamiya adaptor, or swap the connector on the ESC if you preferred, but obviously that would probably void the warranty.
Most people seem swap to Hobbywing 1080 any way if the factory one dies
