They have a set with a Ghost, Witch and Zombie businessman and tombstone and a couple of snakes and rat etc for £10 but it is in the sale so if you can find one, (couple left in Leeds yesterday) they are currently £4.99.

Thinking of selling/ ebaying some Lego - but how to value it?

I have the Super Star Destroyer, complete with box and instructions - but how do you value that? Do you recon it would be worth £200?

Take a look on www.bricklink.com (lego specific store) and compare prices against your model/condition. There is also a price guide of how much each set has sold for over the last year.

Might even be worth putting your sets up for sale there instead of ebay as the buyers are usually easier to deal with and the fees are less onerous.

I'd say a SSD with box and instructions in good condition would go for 200+ on ebay.

PM me with the other sets you have as I may be interested.

Forgot to say, check eBay completed listings for prices, those shown in green were sold, red prices are unsold.

I predict the Haunted House is going to be worth big money in future. Buy another and stick it away somewhere ...

£150 a piece aren't they? but they do sound like they could go up like the modular buildings do.

Yeah Mark about that. I only have one in the collection but oddly out of all my sets this is the one I want to build the most !

I may have to buy another to play with biggrin

Good old Google ... Here's a decent write up on it ...

I'm somewhat sceptical about the future value of these sets. I know in the past certain sets have gone nuts in value but I'm sure back then they were on a more limited run so far less available to begin with. Take the modulars, how long have some of them been labelled 'Hard to Find' on the Lego store? Yet there they are, right there, available for purchase. You can still get the Town Hall and Grand Emporium, the latter now nearly four years old!
