arse, probably the only time I'll ever type that in my life

Wanna see my Ferrari? it's the 1:18 model sitting in the bookshelf
(Actually, typing that makes me realise how utterly ridiculous those prices are. £5995 for a metre long child's toy of an imaginary space ship made of a couple of kilos of mass produced pieces of thermoplastic and a production cost of about a fiver, that loses it's value the moment you do what it's designed for, and if you build it does the square root of f*** all apart from sit there gathering dust. Or, just a little bit less than that for a ton of 6 cylinder convertible Porsche made of aluminium, steel and leather that can sit there in the garage looking nice, or take you to work every day, or go on epic road trips, or go on track days. That is utterly, totally, bats

Ha! Well I do have a proper Porsche sat in my garage, so not all bad, but even if I sold it I'd not have quite enough for a new genuine UCS Millennium Falcon from Amazon!

t mental, and good on Lepin for injecting ('scuse the pun) some common sense into the madness)
Haha you're spot on there, if the UCS falcon was £600 it would be too much, but £6k??? Speaking of the falcon, I got a message the other day from susengo saying it will be released in 10 days time for £150.
There's a seller on eBay charging £350 "once it is in stock with his supplier"

Even regular lego prices sometimes put me right off. I'd like a Slave I UCS, and the GT3 is nice as well, but i have other things i could spend €200-330 on that feel a bit more worth it then "just" a bunch of plastic bricks..(Actually, typing that makes me realise how utterly ridiculous those prices are. Can they actually sell it on ebay as it's technically counterfit?
I would draw a difference between a counterfeit and a clone/copy. The bricks don't say LEGO on them and the package says LEPIN and Star Wnrs so its not a counterfeit in the same way a ripoff watch that says ROLEX on it is counterfeit. Obviously they don't have a license from Leog or Disney so its not legit either. However, anyone on Ebay trying to pass off Lepin as a real Lego UCS set is a fraud.

Had a message from the seller saying that the UCS Falcon will be available 'Mid September' and that they will ship my SSD at the same time.
They've asked if I'll extend the order processing time on Aliexpress because of this but it won't seem to let me for some reason.
I have had a similar message about the Disney Castle today. There are another 8 days on the processing time which takes me up to actual mid September, so I'll hang on and see what they say then. They've asked if I'll extend the order processing time on Aliexpress because of this but it won't seem to let me for some reason.
Wow Jader1973 is at it again! This is the same poster that had my original thread closed, after asking me to open it up in the first place and keep the LEGO thread separate. He succeeded in having my thread closed once and then Stig deemed it fine and re opened. He really does like to try and police the forum without authority.
Anyway as we were...

what I found with susengo was that it will show as shipped and then nothing happens. then after about 7 days you start to see a bit of action on the DHL tracker and it will be with you within a couple of days. I would feel pretty comfortable using them again.
Had exactly the same from another seller. Think thats how aliexpress works. You order something and they say its shipped, when they have enough orders/ stock they ship a week later.Check DHL and in my case delivered in 4 days. Like you said i,d feel happy ordering again.
Which is what i,ll be doing when the falcons released

Made a bit of progress on the gt3. Up to stage 100 of the instructions now. Overall I am impressed by the quality of Lepin, but it does feel slightly softer than Lego. Difficult to describe, but it does make you appreciate how Lego have refined things so well.
Anyway it's a fairly daunting build for someone that hasn't built a technic kit in over 30 years.

Well, I sincerely hope he is all over the watch forum too, demanding that Parnis Panerai homage watches are never mentioned again. And and PHers who have ever dared fit non OE spec brake pads should be burned at the stake, and all the kit car people building a 7-a-likes, a Lancia Stratos, or that talented guy on the Porsche forum scratchbuilding a 962 with a GT3 engine in it, they all need to be banned/burned too.In other news, my GT3 kit has left Denmark...I mean China...woohoo!!!
Just fwiw as an alternative to susengo I ordered the SSD from "Dream House", ordered in the very early hours of Monday and arrived today via DHL. £3 import duty extra to pay.
Complete with A3 ringbound build instructions.
I ordered the "unboxed" version though as didn't think it was worth the extra for the box.
