You specifically cant buy it and join at the same time- its in the T&Cs - you need to buy something else first

If you were that bothered you would just buy a minifig, join with that order then order it straight away.

Im not as still building my Unimog anyway so will wait till its out in the mainstream.
Do you live near a LEGO brand store?

You'd think so, right?

When I started ordering stuff on the Lego store a year ago I ticked the box to join, processed my first order and thought nothing off it since.

I assumed I was now VIP and accumulating points, even buying stuff in Oct to take advantage of the extra points.

I ordered the Pet Shop earlier this week and decided to see how many points I had, only to discover I wasn't VIP! About 500 points, missed out on!

So, when placing the Pet Shop order I ticked the box again on the right side on the first page of the checkout and clicked 'next'. On the second page I noticed the box was unticked again, so I selected it again and processed the order. No confirmation on my VIP request.

Checked the next day and sure enough, still not registered as VIP. I went through the website again and found another page to join and after this I got the '15mins to process VIP registration' message.

Next day I checked again only to find it had reset and I still wasn't a VIP!

In the end I had to phone LEGO and ask wtf was going on. They have now set me up as a VIP but a side effect of this is my entire order history has vanished!

So i decided to have a rummage around the loft and see what sets are up there from when my two sons were young.? To my surprise there's a dozen sets in boxes the first one a came across is the 6991 Monorail iirc about 1994 ish so just looked on eBay...........yikes so I'm going to make it up to see if it's all complete and make a list of the other sets inc 2 small Technic sets.!

I've ordered a few sets this week, including this from the US (since it's not available here):

Wonder if it will be released in the UK?

I've GOT to have that - my daughter would go nuts over that smile

Built the Tilt-rotor finally:

While I see the cleverness of the tilting rotors, I think that mine was better as my complete nacelles rotated whereas this is a simple hinge... /LegoGeek

I've ordered the police copter because of your post above too, James smile Don't normally go for flying machines or emergency services or City themed stuff, but it looks really good, and excellent value.

By the way, there is a companion set to the cat and mouse one; I've ordered it too, from Amazon at £17.99 but with no fixed delivery date. It's listed on Argos's website but for some reason I can't see the stock/delivery checker section so I have no idea whether they have any.

Damn you. I've had a proper look at that mouse set - Much want!

I quite like the City stuff, it's more "classic" that the rest of the stuff - The "Friends" stuff is massively overpriced too, but my daughter likes it... She has her eye on that cruise ship, but she's already been told no...
