Nice one. Did you get any comms from Susengo? I've sent a couple of messages but no reply as yet frown
I sent a message through the app and got the sort of fob off response others have had. I was all set to raise a dispute ot my text from DHL.
Also the app is really good as iit shows a simplistic view of the tracking. If it arrives tomorrow and all is well I will be fairly impressed.
I know the whole fake thing is wrong, but £80 or so delivered vs the £250 the real set costs is farily irresistible.

I had a look at the Lego thread before writing this reply and it made me chuckle that a lot of posts on there seem to be about speculating (buying the guess who set and breaking it up to sell the mini figs I guess) all the posts on this thread are all about obtaining and actually building and enjoying the kits.

The only problem with the build was some parts of the crank shaft are rubbery when they should be plastic - makes no difference to how it works - and just like a real 911 the engine is so buried in the back you can't see it anyway.
Haha...don't know if you are a Porsche fan however the irony of the Rego GT3 also having important engine parts made of chocolate arguably makes it more true to the original than the Lego one!

It does look good I have to say...

Guys, just so I have got this right,

-Aliexpress is just an Amazon style marketplace
-Buy from one of the traders there that prices fairly and hopefully has some reviews and ships via DHL
-If a trader says it's "in stock" there's no guarantee
-Even if I pay via a normal credit card I should be fairly safe

Is that it? I have a GT3 sized hole on my office bookshelf that needs filling...
Basically. However if you buy a model that has been released and other people/websites have it then I would expect it to be in stock and shipped bretty fast. The problem is with the Falcon and DS2 as they have been advertised but are not available yet.

Ooh I have 4 of these...

I also wholeheartedly agree with one of the posters above regarding enjoyment. It's nice to actually just be able to build and enjoy rather than even have to factor in whether there is resale, and the we must hoard and buy them all for investment bks.

The AFOLs will hate that we can also be AFOLs.

Received Cafe Corner from susango today, it took 12 days to arrive and didn't show up on tracking. Will get it built this weekend but first impressions are good, it's not Lego quality but I don't think you'd be able to tell the difference once built.

Spot on, I do still buy lego, bought airjitzu temple earlier this week for my son. He'll build it, enjoy it and have no care at all for it's resale value. That's what its all about, isn't it?

Didn't you fancy picking up the one on Amazon? It's only £2148.00 (plus £11.32 delivery)

Bought a set, built it, kids are playing with it constantly and I'm not worried about them devaluing it or ruining the box or any of the normal Lego stress.

Hmmm, perhaps this is what toys are supposed to be.

My lepin 05007 ordered on the 1st rocked up today. Impressive as aliexpress tracking shows it arriving in the HK sort facility this morning.

Started the build. Early impressions are good, clutch is good to excellent and parts are crisply moulded. Instructions are a little unclear, colours are a bit confusing at times. Part sort is interesting, I'm intrigued as to why the parts are bagged as they are. Some bags are obvious, some aren't. Not yet done the mini figures, but having quickly looked it looks like that will be one area it falls a little short. Bricks are a little lighter in both colour and weight than official bricks I think, and I've seen others say that.

So far, 9/10.

Ah, I hadn't realised the Falcon hadn't been released yet. That would explain it. I ordered a SSD too (which others have received already), but I expect they wait for both to be in to save on shipping.

Right, I've ordered the Disney Castle from Gelida Toys on Aliexpress, £92.66 including DHL shipping. Let's see what turns up!

So the budget pork didn't arrive yesterday. Apparently the DHL man managed to show up in the 20 minutes it took Mrs McDonald to go to the post office.
Re scheduled for Monday now, so no building at the weekend. That's probably a plus though as I need to start rebuilding all my daughters friends sets.

So what's on everyone's wishlist/basket?

While i wait for the ucs falcon my next set will probably be either a modular building set, firehouse HQ or the tumbler.

Will be ordering the batpod at the same time.

Strangely enough, no I didn't fancy paying that for it laugh

Finished building cafe corner tonight (hence the late post), one of the large roof pieces, and one 1x2 piece missing, and two 4x1 pieces were the wrong colour, but I was able to scavenge from Lego bought from eBay, and hide the miss coloured bits so no big deal. Very impressed overall, the only bit that isn't great is the baseplate, but I suspect it's a copy of the one Lego used at the time and the original version wasn't great. I can always buy a Lego baseplate, I'm just chuffed to bits I've got one of the modulars I'd missed out on.

I've now ordered the UCS falcon, does anyone know when this is released?

From memory I had the 1x2 smooth pieces in the wrong colour grey for one of the sections, but in all fairness that could of been my own doing as the greys look a bit off in the instructions.

My base plate curves up slightly in one corner but not enough to be concerned with.

The local shops here are now offering the Porsche for 44quid! Wish I had waited a week now.

Modular wise I've still got the brick bank to build, and I'm toying with the idea of completing the set. The trouble is should I rush out on buy them in case they become limited? I know none of you can answer that one, it's just that I have heard that the millennium falcon will be limited from Lepin.

Of the modular series so far I have cafe corner, brick bank and green grocer, if you could choose only one more, what would you choose?

I also see now they are doing The Simpsons house

I don't have any of those, but of the three I have (cinema, Parisian cafe and pet shop), I'd say Parisian cafe is the best, followed by pet shop and then cinema. Not sure where the detective's office fits; probably behind the Parisian cafe but ahead of the other two. Are the other out of production sets available, such as the town hall?
