I know it can be made from 10295 set, but theres an official set coming soon.
Would of been nice in a different colour tho.
I genuinely have zero desire for this set. Which is unusual.
It will no doubt look better in reality than the box like so many others, but it suffers the same key flaw as the Speed Champions one that I have. It lacks the proper shape Gandini rear wheel arch which is a key defining feature of the Countach.
I think we have to be realistic about the limits of what can be achieved with small plastic pieces of a set size that need to be easy to build and yet reasonably robust at the same time. That rear arch design on the Countach would present some difficulty if not made with a custom piece - and for most who'll buy it, it doesn't matter enough that they would shun it. It also probably won't sell in significant enough numbers to make custom pieces viable.

If that's supposed to be a British Railway station then it's massively inncurate; theres a ticket inspector and the customers seem happy (although the guy with the tie in the pub is spot on). That can't be right? The big danger is that if you order this set it'll be late or you'll receive a bus as a replacement set... hehe
biggrin. The set also doesn't come with a train which seems appropriate given the state of the railways in general.

I believe the set designer lives in Spain so was possibly looking through some very rose tinted glasses when he came up with the idea.

I quite like that railway station but it's sold out already. How can that be when it's a pre-order and won't even be produced until around October?
Bricklink / LEGO only produce a maximum of 30,000 sets for the designer program so it's a very limited run (it used to be 10,000 for previous iterations but they've increased it this time around).

where do you actually find the lego designers to buy?

They are all on bricklink.com. There's a contest for each series and the top five designs get selected for crowdfunding.

Bricklink's designer program series 2 sets were released for pre-order today (link here for anybody who might be interested).

I've ordered this, which seems to be one of the most popular sets out of the five available.

Its a nod to how you tend to play with Lego as a child, then experience the "dark ages" where you don't touch it and then as an Adult you go back to Lego for different reasons, less play, more creation or interest in the art or look of it. an era of enlightenment if you like.

The Lego Horizon game has been announced, so I'm hopeful we'll see follow-ons to the Tallneck. Come on Thunderjaw...

Same, I just feel like there's too many bits of it which aren't done very well that are actually key to such an iconic car, if that makes sense?
Agreed, should have been a lot better

If I hadn't done the 911 as the countach I'd have bought this one, I'm happy with what I have and now I've improved on it by using parts not in the 911 set I'm certain I won't be buying the lego official version.

Have grown a little bit tired of Technic cars but have been having a great time building a Lego A-Wing UCS set and I have an X-Wing UCS set to build too. Need to try and find the Y-Wing and B-Wing sets now.

I've got the Y-Wing. Built, but I could take it to bits and re-bag.

A very close friend of mine unfortunately died a little while ago He was as big a lego fan as me and I will be selling many of his sets soon on behalf of his widow.
I'll pop a list up, he had lots of unopened star wars sets, I'm certain a y wing is in the collection.

Very interested depending on price. My condolences for your loss too.

Heads up, the BMW speed champions set was in Asda for £30

As an aside, how does the radio work? Does it play your own music from your phone?

I’ve got a gift voucher to spend and nothing else appeals to me at the moment. I was waiting for the Jaws set but it is nowhere to be seen, so I might get this.

It’s a shame it just looks like the MOC for the 911 because it is white.
Maybe if you wash it it’ll turn red biggrin

It has a sound brick with pre-recorded clips, and it has a space for your phone to go in the back.
