XC60 tyres

I have a 2019 XC60 T5 which needs new tyres. The ones in there are Continental which are quite noisy on the road

Has anyone any experience of getting quieter tyres as there seems to be very little info out there.

I normally just fit same but if I can get the road noise down without sacrificing grip that would be great.

The tyres have started to crack which is a surprise on a low mileage car. Still half tread left

Continental have made many many tyres since 2019, perhaps some more info might help more.

Every tyre for the last many many years has a tyre noise rating on it so not sure how you have missed that.

The tyres that are on there are Continental ContieEocontact which I have now found have a DB rating of 72. 235/60/18V.

Looking at Blackcircle one of the lowest in that size is a pirelli at 69 db.

Digging onto other Volvo forums here and the US where some have done back to back tests in car road noise seems unaffected by the DB rating. It just spolis what is a great car and probably I need to look at adding noise deadening material somewhere
