Just thought I would post a Thanks to Charlwood Volvo who have recently completed the 90000 (time not miles, as car has done 50000 )mile service on our Xc90, we have used them now for 3 years and I have to say they are a pleasure to deal with and one things for sure they are about half the price of Doves and the service is second to none.

You're right, Doves are not the cheapest garage around....

I went into my local Doves in Blackburn for a new numberplate (which was actually a bargain at £8.40!). While I was I thought I'd enquire as to what their hourly labour charge was, "oh its come down recently, £80+VAT". Bargain at £96 an hour!
They did say they do an MOT and a service for £199 though which is probably a good deal if you have quite a new car or are confident your car will pass.
