Hi Guys,

I'm looking at a C70 T5 Convertible at the weekend.

I just wondered if there is anything in particular to look out for?

It seems quite a clean car. 62k - Full dealer service history. One owner from new.

Oh, it's an auto if that helps.

Many thanks in advance,

Darren.

They are pretty bomb proof, just make sure they have been serviced on time and I guess the cam belt is going to be due soon.

Other things to watch for & check

1. Poor turning circle (nothing can be done)
2. Engine mount (poly bush should it need it)
3. Suspension parts can wear, check top mount, anti roll bar links and the usual
4. Check for rips in the roof both up & down, there can be excessive wear on the inside creases
5. Gear changes should be smooth and fairly instant, check kick down (oil change if not done)
6. They eat front tyres for breakfast
7. Check TRACS/Traction control works
8. once moving, the car should be fairly rapid

Great cars!

If its creaks on full lock dont worry just needs re-greasing. Easy and cheap to.

Put the drivers and passengers windows up and down a few times, if they dont sound too clever or one is slower than the other noticeably the motor is probably going to need replacing, not cheap!

Also if its a 6cd changer make sure it works.

Check steering rack for leaks, if the gaiters are fooked I'd almost guarantee it, awful job & expensive if its goes
