Front ABS sensors

Sensors have gouges in them, caused, I think by the old reluctor rings which had rusted and split, making them wider and thus hitting the sensors.
I have fitted new reluctor rings, but abs light is still on. I take it that the damage to the sensors is the problem, I have no idea how much abuse they can take.
