Hi All,

A bit of advise here please?

My 2001 S80 T6 failed it's MOT on front suspension arm bushes. The garage are saying that the complete suspension arm needs replacing and are looking for over £300 to replace.

a.) is the suspension arm the wishbone? In which case I can buy it myself for around £120 and replace myself
b.) Can I just replace the bushes as I have seen these for about £35 on ebay?

Any advise gratefully received.

Cheers

Alan

I'm pretty sure suspension arm, track control arm and wishbone are the same thing.
If they are the same as on the V70, I had mine replaced on my 2001 V70 as a stipulation when I bought it. I'm fairly sure the mechanic said about £80 each. They paid, not me, to make it clear.

I changed the whole arm (on both sides), as its alot easier than trying to change the bushes.
Mine is a c70 though.

Is it called a control arm.

Had mine replaced on the V70 and my daughters S60 , under £80 a corner and not much labour involved
