The ABS reluctor ring on the offside wheel of my V70 has snapped. I discovered this when I went to clean it to stop spurious warnings on the dashboard. I was using a Laptop and OBDII plus the Volvo onboard system to find out what the error was. OBDII showed p0500 and holding down the trip reset showed me 22 which I guessed meant ABS022 which is front right sensor. Also the Speedo stopped working. I have ordered a new ring which just press fits on the CV joint. Cost £10.
I need to get the driveshaft out of the hub to put the new ring on. Do I just take the wheel off, undo the driveshaft bolt, undo the bottom end balljoint, and pull to get clearance to get the splined shaft out? The car is a 2001 V70 2.4 140hp.
