hi
having had a disaster with an S8 bought as a winter hack i was having a think about alternatives and came across this.
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/detail.asp?i=2242...
can anyone offer any info on what they are like to drive/own...i know the lock is dreadful..
i quite like the stealthy nature but don't fancy any monster bills.
also, i would appreciate any comments on the price.
thanks in anticipation.

The Auto is torque limited. I'd find a manual if possible.
To live with though, they're brilliant. Will do anything with ease and in great speed and comfort.
Mines done 132k miles and doesn't feel 6 months old.
I was advised to get a post 2005 car when looking though, as they have a few updates over the earlier cars. *touch wood* that advice has paid off.

Like any other v70 they're tough, fast and better built than an equivalent BMW the awd system can suffer propshaft wear and require the whole prop replacing but many tightwods convert them to 2wd - to be fair unless you're a st driver and lunch the hell out of it off the lights they're strong enough. In a nut shell, buy one you won't be disappointed alternatively buy a v70 t5 awd - basically the same car - early ones even had the same 240bhp engine.
