850 power steering

The steering on my MILs 850 behaves irratically.
During last winter it started getting heavy, kind of "stuck" in the middle, come summer and warmer weather it worked perfectly again, only to start acting up now as the weather is getting cold.
I have checked the fluid, bleeded the system, lubed all joints etc, I ruled out the usual fault of a sticking lower steering joint, as it would have behaved the same during the summer, would it not?

Next step is to change the fluid and see if that helps. Any other tips on what I can check/do?

check something as silly as a slipping belt
warmer weather would make more sticky rubber - and less slip

had this on 1 or two cars - try degreasing belt
