I've now done 2250 miles in my S60 D5 (I've owned it for exactly one month)
In that time I have put £240 worth of diesel in it giving a rolling total of around 50mpg

This is my first modern Diesel and I'm truly amazed at the fuel economy I am getting smile so I thought I'd see what others here are able to get from theirs

Car = S60 D5 euro 3
MAXIMUM miles per tank = 800

650 per tank on every tank driving it enhusiastically. DIM shows around 49mpg avg equates to over 850.

Managed 950 on a tank when really trying on a trip to Scotland and back. Steady 70 all the way.

Intersting thing is the figure the DIM computes - about 15-20% over what I actually get. But it will help when I sell it.

If I recall .......1040 miles from V70 D5 EuIII Manual, virtually all motorway. Remember working it out as 68mpg.

Have covered 780 miles on a tankful in the S60 2.4D EuIV Manual - all motorway. Only last week covered 508 miles and added £38.50 of fuel i.e approx 8 gallons.

wow

I've spoken with a woman that had a S60 D5 and she'd got 900miles from a tank...that was the most I'd heard of until your post

on my commute (20mins of rural unclassified roads) my DRZ400S will do 100miles on £5ish

so it beats the S60 on MPG...BUT the S60 has uber comfy/heated seats, climate control, windscreen/roof and the best OEM stereo I've ever heard.....also no spending 10mins each end of the day getting kitted-up to travel too and from

smile the car is winning, the DRZ is for sale (once I get round to sorting a advert out)
I still have the Fireblade though

Do not be shy, you are amongst friends. Confess the Blade's MPG.

The bikes will cover 100 - 150 miles on a tankful, unless I have been enjoying myself too much whistle

The V70 manages mid/high 30's MPG tank

The S60 manages mid-40's/low-50's with mixed driving nerd

The Porsche is lucky to exceed 30MPG, but then............ woohoo

S60 D5 Euro III.

Maximum range according OBC 1000miles.

Worked out on a steady journey (60-70mph and lots of acceleration sense) from Hull to Frome and back that I was achieving 60mpg.

Edit: Manual

V70 Euro IV D5 07MY - best I've had was 650 between fillups.

Have seen (miles since last fillup) + (range on OBC) = 750 on occasions but normally drops back to between 600 and 650.

MPG normally around 39 according to OBC.

Mine is realtively sheeit then.

2002 V70 D5 auto.

I get around 420-450 miles per tank. (it has been much more on long runs though).

OBD says 42mpg average but it's lying, the little fvckker.

It rarely sees the Mway though.

Purely as a comparison my '05 V70 T5 (manual) got 460 miles out of the last tank full. I was quite impressed with that.

Where as my diesel Honda Accord Tourer (2.2 CDTI) does about 660 miles on a tank full.
