There is a 1998 V-70 Cross Country for sale near me its a bit tatty but drives really well. The problem is it has a crunchy second gear! Is this likely to be the synchro or a sign the the gearbox is on the way out? Could it turn out to be an expensive mistake If I buy it? Its 700 quid!
