Do you mean the button just to the right of the gear stick in this pic?

It's for disabling the ultrasonics on your alarm...

My DTSC on my S80 just turns off when you press it. Good to see you got the auto, cruise crontol as well I hope?

The only one thing I dislike on the S80, and looks same as yours, the bloody hand brake, just looks messy being so big.

Just double checked mine, a quick push doesn't work, have to hold in for about 1/2 second, then it should disengage. Basically hold it until it disengages.

Not my car! Just a pic I found on the internet. I think if you press that button before you leave the car it probably turns off the interior sensors so you can leave things in the car/windows open etc. Not sure though.

The phone is a Volvo extra - no idea about the price though, sorry.

When I had my last service (November) Volvo fitted their own intergrated (sort of) bluetooth system to my V70. Basically it's a silver panel, which they've sited where those buttons are, in the above picture....mine is a cheaper spec though, so they were just blanked out in my car and the actice buttons were at the outside of the panel.
It's not the cheapest system, but is very easy to use and looks smart in the car.

Isn't that phone the integrated GSM phone, where you put a SIM card into... err... a SIM card reader for want of a better description.

Comes with the On Call and SOS buttons where you have to subscribe to the service.

I absolutely HATED that SOS button in my last V50. Lost count of the number of passengers who got in and said "oooh SOS what's that for?" and I had to grab their wrist as their finger got within a nanometre of a press.

It could be for taking the panel off, there is probably a special tool for it
