No probs. In NL we sometimes say that a car is "on crack" when it is way faster or more agressive than you would normally expect.

Looking at the work done on your car I'm guessing that it runs on crack. smile

[edit]
take a look at what the Hedberg brothers have been brewing in their shed. They don't know sh#t about music but they know a lot about turbopressure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbHEPbS9ZeU

Hi Callyuk

It's all in hand but these things take time the last gearbox has been stripped and the problem found so i have brought another one to use a couple of parts.

I did try a few gearbox companys to see if there is anything i could use only Hewland came up trumps with an idea or too just a shame one of them costs £17,500 lol

The problem is due to a nice amount of torque being third gear is rather fun lol is the gear is being pushed along the shaft then its hitting the fourth gear syncro hub a very need mod is being done as we speak so look forward to trying it smile

I've just spent my morning reading this thread. You've done a great job Russ!

I love the old Volvo 850 and what you've done is certainly different. It's fantastic to see the project grow and evolve. I hope you have many years of great motoring in the old girl!

Looking forward to seeing more pictures and to see how things turn out.

I'm currently sat in sunny Russia, so I'm a few hours ahead. It means I can spend my morning looking like I'm working but surf PH instead!

I'm keen to see how things go with the car. I'd love a T5, like yourself, I remember watching the estates in the BTCC. I was hooked from then!

Hi all just thought i would add one of my videos from the speed trials from last October i have not been able to convert them until now so thought i would finally add some noise here :

You will here the anti lag start @ 1 min 42 once i cross the finish line (centre switch on the dash) no aid at all to me other then the noise just to please the watching crowd hope you enjoy them and it gives you some idea how the car sounds this is the second run of the two I had on the day a 13.83 @114 mph not the fastest time in the world but I was happy I never went to win the event just take part I will be doing more ¼ mile runs soon as the gearbox parts are complete .

Enjoy :

Lovely work, looks like a good fun project. A small pity the roll cage is visible from outside the Volvo, otherwise that would be a truly stealthy sleeper.

All i can say is "wow" and i have complete admiration for you guys, brilliant indepth diary to go with it too... You would put most if not all of the people on my forum (HSV and Monaro) to shame for those who think they can build a retro rocket, think i may post your thread there and show them how it's really done hehe
