'97 Volvo V70 T5 - which oil?

Getting all the bits together to service one of the above, just wondered what oil is recommended - and how much will I need? It's a '97 2.3 T5 auto if we're getting specific.

I used 5W-40 on my '97 R. But this wasn't the recommended oil. Sorry!

I do know we used about 6 litres, maybe a little less.

This was a few months ago so memory is hazy.

Forgot I'd posted this thread, ta muchly chaps.

The Castrol oil finder gadget thingy agrees with you, 10-40 Magnatec is what I shall be using.

+ 1 - I use the same on my T5 - Shell Helix - runs lovely and the engine is really clean internally
