Has anyone had a go with the new D5 engine yet?

As per the title really!! I'm about to book mine in for it's 36k service and thought I'd ask if they had a courtesy car with the new D5 available to have a go in it.

what new D5 engine?

Essentially, with sequential twin turbochargers, ceramic glow-plugs and piezoelectric fuel injectors.

New Euro 5 (supposedly) D5 engine with low fuel emissions of 164g/km.

Power output of ~205PS with 420Nm of torque.

The 2.4D has an output of 175PS.

We should be getting some chipped up to 240 odd with the new twin turbo.

If I get to drive one I will let you know how it goes.

We have a chipped old d5 thats at 200+ bhp and it goes well.

That seems like a decent improvement in BHP, although not a massive one. How much lower are the emissions? And does the economy improve, as the d5 and 2.4D arent exactly in BMW league when it comes to diesel engine technology and economy.
