Convertible roof - hand brake & in Park !!

Hi All,
Is there a way of getting around taking the roof down on a c70 T5 auto 2005 without having to put it in Park and hand brake up ??
I know it might not be the best idea to do this whilst driving at 60 mph !!! I just don't wan the hassle on stopping, P, hande brake and then button !
Sorry if it sounds a little too much effort !!
