On my old XC90 I havd the DLR's turned off by the dealer - I want to do the same with the new one. Is it a 'plug in software' type thing, or just a 'turn the key this way, switch the lights on and off three times and then turn the key back again' type of thing?

I hate the things with a passion, not only do they make you look like an attention we, they also make you forget to put the actual headlights on when it's going dark.

I think it's a dealer thing. Are the DLR's not the headlights ? They are on my S60 but you have turn the light switch to "headlights" to use main beam.

They are headlights yes, confirmed with the dealer that it's a software thing too. Cheers.

Last time I asked about this for mine I was told it would be £80 to change the settings. To tap a few keys on a laptop! F cuk that!

Be careful as you may need to inform your insurance company that you intend to remove DLR as it is a standard safety feature of the vehicle.
