For the third time in as many weeks my wife left the side lights on in our V70 T5 and there is no warning buzzer....

My car is set to have the running lights switched off so she has to 'think' about it and this is proving too difficult furious

Apart from getting a new wife (and momentarily this has occurred) does anyone know if there is a warning buzzer you can get?

Or is my only option getting the running slights switched back on which I hate?

Any suggestions except replacing the wife welcome argue

wh put side lights on? Either leave them off or turn them full on, that way they'll go off with ignition?

I quite agree and that is what I told her but she can't remember to do it........hence my problem.

I think the only option is to get the running lights switched back on.

I didnt know you could turn the lights off? Does a dealer have to do that for you?

I didnt know I could leave the sidelights on in my V70, I just have them turned on all the time, so at night, I can have them on full beam or not, and not have to worry about what setting they're on

On 2001 model year onwards V70s the dealer can switch off the DRLs. From memory, after the 2005 model year they can also do this but the sidelights will stay permanently on. Earlier volvos have the facility for the owner to switch them off.

I suggest that you superglue the light switch in the on position!
