Not just T5s can benefit from Chip Tuning
Discussion
Hi Everyone,
Just thought I'd take the opportunity to mention the excellent results I've just got on my S60 2.0TSE. Since power gains and fuel economy are hot topics (as ever) at the moment - I just took the plunge on the S60 "daily drive" having enjoyed MTE software in my 850 Racer for some time now.
I went for the MTE stage 1 software - supplied by Don Norchi of Kalmar Union (and fitted by Marco of TME himself who was over with Don working on the Kalmar race car).
It required no extra bits on the S60 which I want to keep as OE as possible as it is the daily wagon. It gave a really good throttle response gain and good additional mid-range torque which is great for towing the racer. Marco also removed the Torque limiters from 1st and 2nd gear which makes a huge difference to how the car drives at lower speed - much less of a chore in traffic!
More importantly in this fuel challenged age - it has already added about 5MPG to the average computer - so really cost effective too. Should pay for itself in about a year - assuming I don't get too excited from time to time
Phil
