Hi there guys, need a little help/advice.

I already have a 53 plate S40 2.0T Sports Lux, which is a stunning motor, but last week I picked up a 2000 V40 2.0 for my sister and her husband. I am currently in the process of making sure everything is in working order, and as the car is in near mint condition, there is very little to do.

The first thing I noticed was that the radio didn't work, and so I pulled it out to find that not only was it not plugged in, but all the plugs have actually been snipped off leaving a bunch of bare wires. mad

I am guessing that the last owner had installed another radio, and then taken it out before selling it. Anyway, I went to a Volvo dealer and bought a new cable with the plugs on, only £10.93 all in. I spent best part of today reconeccting all the wires, and the radio now comes on, it also changes CD's etc, but I have no sound at all?

The radio is an SC-901 series made in 1999, there is no aerial cable (yet to install one as that has gone as well). I have connected the two main plugs only, and nothing else, do I need to fit an amp?

There is another cable which doesn't look like an aerial cable and it doesn't fit in the back of the radio either.

Thanks in advance!
