Whizzing noise when turning steering wheel - V40
Discussion
The mrs's v40 makes a strange "whizzing" noise when the steering wheel is twirled for manuevering, roundabouts, 90's etc.
I've tried pulling in out, side to side and twisting to see if there's any play in the column bearings but so far nothing????
Can anyone shed any light on what it could be.

does it sound like a dry rubber bush sort of noise? and does it get louder if the car has been run for a while ? if so it could be the top oil sealing ring in the pas steering rack, there is a mod that works 70% of the time which involves injecting grease with a syringe, but this occasionally makes the rack leak then a new one is required, hope this helps.

now that sounds like what it could be.We only bought the car recently and its got warranty for a year so I will begin the warranty process.
Thanks for the info!
