Volvo V70 T6....my report
Discussion
......holy s--t i want this car
3 liter six cyl, 285bhp 400nm
such a pleasant car to spend time in, the in-dash nav system and driver infotainment system is so easy to use unlike the BMW i-drive/nav system
the driving position is very comfy and very good visability all round, the six speed geartronic box is ultra slick, the best auto box i've ever used, the three liter six cyl turbo engine sounds superb when you press the "go" pedal past the half way point
it's a bit quicker than my T5 but the main differance is the mega grip from the clever AWD system, no drama or fuss when pressing on a bit, i had the active chassis in the ADVANCED setting (three settings NORMAL,SPORT,ADVANCED) and it felt very taught in corners but still remained comfortable on bumpy sections...very clever indeed
some pics for you all to enjoy

Have a T5 and thought of buying the new V70 2.0D R-Design. They are not yet available so tried a 2.0D.
Had one out on loan - exactly same colour as yours. Loaded is an understatement
Comms pack
Sat Nav
Winter pack
18" alloys
Tinted rear windows
4C (?) suspension
Sunroof
Perf Leather
Etc
Etc
Volvo refused to sell me the car as has to be on fleet for set period and then can only go to a dealer.
I was shocked at how little fuel it used and held onto 100 in 6th gear. Unsurprisingly, lacks accelerative punch in 6th at motorway speeds.
If you are after a tax efficient company car with great fuel economy - it should be considered.
Kids liked it. Wife still hates Volvos and thought it smaller on the inside than my current car.
Cannot justify running a T6 at todays prices, even if can afford to buy it, but great to hear you liked it.
The first Phase 3 D5 SE Lux under £20K is mine!

So, did you think it was reasonably quick as a 2.0? And what is a Phase 3 D5?Had one out on loan - exactly same colour as yours. Loaded is an understatement

To be honest am tempted by the 2.0D if stay in a company car - however, if opt out, will go for the D5 and chip to approx 225bhp.
Need to see if can get a 2.0D R-Design V70 within allowance.
Would definitely consider the 2.0D V70 as I accept it for what it is ..... a cheapish company car to run.
I caught a Civic Integra Type-R napping whilst coming out of roadworks on the M6, as I dropped to 4th and accelerated away. He was so piss*d when he caught up and his passengar pointed out the 2.0D badge on the tailgate.
