Has anybody chipped the C30 T5 yet?

I've just been notified by superchips that they now have a chip available. I'm very tempted as the power and torque gains claimed are quite impressive.

Dont use superchip, they just plug a generic chip in and nearly always dont use a rolling road or even a road test to map the car.

Impressive gains are available but I would use a more specialist company that does more work with Volvo's and they will probably be cheaper than superchips aswell.

Good timing - I've just bought a C30 T5 for my wife, collecting it on Wednesday.

Anyone who deals with the Focus ST must surely be able to provide a remap for the C30 also? There are so many dodgy outfits around, it'd be nice to find someone with a decent experience.

+1 for MTE. Driveability is superb and its reliable and safe too. Kalmar Union (www.kalmar-union.com) is the local distributor; owners of tuned cars regularly meet up approximately once a month so why not try and make it to one of those so you can have first had experience of what a tuned T5 is like?

I will be at Silverstone this thursday 7th.Feb for a Goldtrack track day on the GP circuit with my Focus ST. It is running arround 280bhp with different software and some physical mods, big brakes etc.

I will be in garage 8C if you can make it. The ST is virtually the same as a C30 T5 so you should get a feel of a KU modified C30 T5 if you came out for a few laps....

Regards, Don.Norchi.

Hi Don,

Thanks for the invite but unfortunately I'm overseas at the moment.

Thats the main reason I'm looking for a quick fix. When I'm in the U.K. I don't have the time to spend developing the car and hence I want a something fairly "standard" that is proven.

MTE have had software for the S40/V50/C30 T5 for a long time now so it's been well tested by T5 owners both here and around the world. I believe the software in Don's Focus ST is part of an ongoing development project so its certainly not a case of you having to use "experimental" software in your own car.

I myself had a Superchip in my car, before switching to MTE software, and the difference is noticeable; with the MTE, the car pulls much stronger and smoother through the rev range, which is something a number of MTE customers have commented on.
