Window opening problems

Hi guys,

Got an S80, had it for almost 5 years, it was an 52 ex demonstrator, last week, my front offside window would open about 15mm and stuck, tried it a few times, still sticking. (As it opened, I noticed it sort of went on a slant).

Next day it was fine, but the passenger front had same problem, but after a few ups, and downs, it worked.

Since that, both have worked fine. Got in booked in for a look at by mechanics at £75 plus VAT, but any one had this problem, and any ideas? Maybe lube problem. And can it be done at home.

hi,possibly window/guides seal worn this causes window to jam and pull window regulator out of slide blocks,these usually shatter,in extreme cases the window regulator can bend and require replacement also.
