Just a quick one this. Brought myself a 740 GL Estate with the view to using it for some tramp drifting. Of course this means it needs to be lowered, but to get replacements I need to find out what type of rear suspension it has. I presume that self leveling and independent are one and the same, but what's the easy way of telling if I have it or not?

not sure how you can tell. I only realised my S60 had it when I loaded it up to go camping. Left the house with the wheels up in the arches, and by the time I got to the petrol station, they were back to normal.

Try putting loads of heavy stuff in the boot and going for a drive smile

Self levelling Nivomats are recognisable as they are nearly as wide as the springs they are inside and have bellow type dust protectors at the bottom.

more than likley just regular live axle and shocks, I think only later models (940, 960 etc) got the nivomats.
