New shape V70 HID Headlights

Has anyone retro fitted the latter HID headlights to an earlier model,mines a 2000 with standard lights.I have been busy onj ebay and picked up a pair.

Mine came with them as a manufactur fit, i have heard it isnt a straight forward fit as the power etc has to be changed.
