Hello, i just noticed my volvo 2005 model s60 has now done 90,000 miles. My old t-5 s60 had 110,000 miles after 2 and half years and now this car has 90,000 in 2 and a bit years. the car just goes and goes and then i am hit with a massive cost in deprecation. Whats the best and cheapest way to buy a car so i dont lose all this depreciation when i next buy a volvo? hire purchase? should i rent a car?

i think i must of lost close to £35,000 in depreciation on these volvos

Bike to work/clients/warehouse etc?

Or keep the car until it dies?

I think your doing some mileage that will depreciate any car.

I must admit the lads at work are running A3s and seem to be putting big mileage on them and getting rid around 80-90k (two/three years) as it doesn't seem to effect the prices too much.

Maybe worth changing your car more often and not putting so much on one particular car?
