Remind me...... do the rear seats fold on the 360 series?

There's a very ncie looking low mileage 360GLT on autotrader at the moment, really wish I had space for another car as I quite fancy one as a daily driver when I've sold the current lump!

clap

Awesome - that might be my bargain banger found then. Would paste the link from Autotrader in if I knew how to do so (I don't have the space for it right now, but at 80k, allegedly mint for £300 I wish I did!)

Anything to beware of - fuel costs? parts availability? likelyhood of rust? Would immagine insurance would be less than my current (MG ZS) daily driver and if I could find another one for £300 I suppose it doesn't really matter if it breaks!

I suppose I should also ask - what are they like to drive?

Clarification for anyone else interested, I'm told the 300 series seats fold on the hatchback, but not the saloon.

edit: Slightly less exciting perhaps, but less prone to tin worm (apparnetly) - I see you can pick up one of the 480 wedges for not much more than a 360. Anyone know anything about these? Not turning into a volvo geek, they just seem to offer good value basic motoring and they're a little different to the normal Japanese hatches.... biggrin

They're great!

I think they are much more interesting than the 300 series too..but make sure you get a turbo.

They are fundamentally reliable, the engines will keep on going, but the electrics and various other bits.....if you want a car where every feature works, all the time, evyer time, either be prepared to get intmately acquainted with the underside of the dashboard whilst standing on your head, or look elsewhere!

The idea is to get one as basic transport, with a fun car for evenings and weekends, so a 480 turbo might be out on insurance and economy grounds. Not worried about the occasional electrical niggle, as long as it starts without fail (it being the sensible reliable car of the two, you understand!) The only toy I'd quite like is AC which I gather means getting a special edition.

AC was an option on all models.

It gets right in the way in the engine bay though!

Cool (sorry, no pun intended)

A leather trimmed, air conditioned 480 capable of the best part of 40mpg should be quite a pleasant way of getting round the M25 for a grand or less. As I understand it, theres a fair chance of the trip computer or electric windows packing up, but it should get me to work on time and carry plenty of junk.
