I.m having a load of grief getting a car phone to work in a 2003 S60 D5.

The fitter (?) couldn't get the radio mute to work or for it to play through the speakers. In the end he gave up and put a separate (inadequate) speaker in. A second opinion talked about having to strip the loom. I have found a company (Sio Communications) that supplies a loom but I'm hestiant to get one unless I can have it fitted.

Anyone any experience and especially a recommendation for a fitter in the Midlands?
Thanks in advance

I had one fitted to my S60 D5 SE with the premium sound, the installation guys knew what they were doing as i didn't want the external speaker, it had to go through the sound system.

Chris Mapeys your man for this, i can't think for the life of me what the specific part was called that plugged into the Amplifier and made this possible. I sold my S60 last year and couldn't think of what the system was called, that way you could probably order it and get someone to fit it.

What was the box called that fitted into the Amp? I can't for the life remember, i know it gave us major headaches though.

I fitted a Nokia kit to my car (with the Dolby PR amp). I went to these guys and bought the relevant bits and fitted it myself:

http://www.siocommunications.co.uk/

They can supply all of the autoleads bits and bobs to cut out the radio and playback the sounds from carkit through the front speakers. Works well and its all hidden.

A bit pricey but thats to be expected I suppose.

Thanks Guys
After another three hours with various leads being split and spliced we found the THB Bury kit was rubber ducked. By this time I'd lost patience and decided to have a Parrot Blue Tooth fitted. Absolutely superb

Thanks again
