Hi guys.
I'm new to Volvos but fancy something different from a BMW, and have seen a C70 Convertible in 2.4T GT guise. It's a '99 V plate for £7k with around 85k miles. Firstly, is this a good price for this, and secondly what is likely to go wrong and how expensive will it be to fix?. How reliable are the actual turbo units? Also, what sort of MPG am I likely to get?
Thank you.

Honest answer, no it's not worth it at all. I wouldn't pay more than 3.5-4K for it, maybe 5K at a push. Just look at what other Volvos you can buy for 7K and you will see that you can get S60 T5 for less money, which is newer technology, better chassis, and much nicer inside.

Also, don't forget that with the new C70 out, the old one is much less desirable.

Turbo units are reliable, no problem there. expect mpg 25-28 on average. T5 performs better, but you can tune the 2.4T to T5 power levels if you want to.
