Anyone fitted a K&N 57i?
any difference or is it just noisier.
previous fit was a K&N performance panel filter, I'm not sure if the cone is better or if it's just psycological???

It is really best to stick with a replacement panel filter, either standard or such as K & N, there is little difference.

It is best to draw the air from outside the engine bay and Volvo are very good at designing efficient standard air inlet tracts.

is there any benefit to a second cold air feed to the airbox?
How do you route this pipe?
I have opened up the air inlet infront of the rad and next to the n/s headlight.
Changed it from downward to forward facing.

ive opted for the panel filter,having been into my G60 superchaged corrados i found bits that were abit to big, did find there way in through the cone,at least the air box does hold back the slightly bigger bits,DONT BE FOOLED BY NOISE, all noise no go,
