Has anyone any recommendations regarding an alternative to the standard Pirelli's? I've replaced the fronts once already (with Pirellis) but now about to replace all four, & whilst wanting to retain performance, I'd like to try & save some money here.

Toyos are a good medium price tyre for these cars.

Thing to keep in mind is that whatever price you pay these cars will shag their front tyres if driven hard...so no point in paying over the odds for them, whatever the perceived quality.

Don, had the latest T-1 type (s?) on the front of the V70AWD, they were good but I noticed that when hot and after hard braking the tread was breaking away in small cubes (YES really) they were great on the back but I have gone back to Goodyear F1 gsd3s now.

Not sure if the tyres on the diesel are the same as on the 2.4 petrol, but mine have lasted really well so far...I've done over 15K so far and still on all 4 original tyres.

I switched to Bridgestone Potenzas and couldn't tell any difference really.
