I have an S60 D5 with a Volvo stereo. Can you plug an ipod lead in anywhere?
Thanks in advance

best thing to do, is get the radio transmitter for the ipod, then set your frequency on radio to same frequency as radio transmitter and hear the ipod thru the excellent radio..and saves hassle with messing about with the already super duper sound system

I'm currently having a nightmare with the numpty fitting the car phone who can't seem to get the right loom but thats another story.

Any suggetions for the actual kit for your suggestion above. Sounds good (no pun) as presumably I can shift it from car to car?

so sorry for late reply

you can get it at Curry's , just ask for the Ipod radio transmitter
its a small black plastic radio transmittter that plugs at the bottom of the Ipod, then you tune the transmitter to a radio channel, like 84.5 . then if you are in the car and you put the radio to 84.5, then your ipod will play through the radio, and as the s60 has 3 way channel radio, its a great sound.

Have a chat to your local Volvo dealer. There is an official cradle & loom that will link to & charge your ipod.

Failing that one of these?http://www.nexxia.co.uk/iPod_MP3_Adaptors/volvo.htm

Chris

Edit to add:

It's on the Volvo website.

http://www.volvocars.co.uk/models/Accessories/S60/

Taken from the site:

Integrate your iPod® with the audio system in your Volvo. Simply connect it to the adapter beneath the central armrest, and then control your iPod using the steering wheel buttons. The audio system’s display will help guide you through your playlists and tunes. When you arrive at your destination, simply unplug and take your iPod with you—it's just been charged. Price varies according to specification of vehicle
